This is my father's military driving license. He signed up with the Polish Army under British Command in Haifa, Palestine on 26th August 1940; he was already in the Polish regular army when the Nazis invaded in 1939. This license is dataed 6 May 1941, 9 months after he resumed service and a month after the start of the seige of Tobruk. It took 9 months to get from southern Poland to Haifa and and another 9 months to get the license. There is an unexplained puckered hole going right through the folded license.

Instruction to Train a Replacement Prior to Retirement from Thorseby Colliery
This is not a military document, but I have nowhere else to put it at the moment. My father had it in his pocket when he died underground in Thorseby Colliery.
